Get to know me a little more with the stuff i usually pick. My style is usually more of finding unique pieces to wear. I don’t like common clothes, accessories and shoes. I have an eye to very unique finds. Soon i will have a blog about my top essential pieces a girl should have in her closet (liz uy lang ang peg haha!) but for now, here’s a list of my favorite pieces in my closet. I haven’t worn some of the stuff here, so you better be back and check my future outfit posts to see if i can give justice to these pretty ones. Enjoy!
1. SKIRTS
I am a skirt kind of girl. I don’t usually wear pants except of course when needed by the event or place. I am in love with skirts. I love bold and extraordinary printed skirts. Most of them are high waisted. Bandage, flowy, midi, maxi. Everything.
High waist skirts make you look taller. They are very versatile too. Can be worn during parties, hang outs, even in the office! 🙂 just not too short hihi.
Skater skirts make your legs thinner and longer. Can also be worn as high waist 🙂
Perfect for summer 🙂
Bandage skirts for a sexier you. Bold prints will make you stand out from the rest 🙂
Maxi skirts are instant classy looks 🙂
Midi skirts are the tricky ones but when paired with the proper tops, they will give you fab outfits without too much sweat in your legs haha!
Tips in picking the perfect skirt:
It must not be too skimpy. And the length should be reasonable enough for your legs. Skirts are different from panties.haha! The fabric should be thick enough to cover that sensitive area. And wear cycling shorts underneath, especially with flowy skirts. Always go for shops with limited stocks of skirts. You wouldn’t want strolling around the mall seeing people wearing the same skirt as yours, that’s not cool. Haha!
2. DENIMS
They never get old. You can pair denims in almost everything. It gives you a casul and laidback vibe.
Oh, the denim shorts. Probably one of my usual go-to bottoms when going to malls.
Denim dresses give you a sexier look. Not as comfy as cotton, but bearable during the summer season.
Denim vests are very reliable to brighten and contrast boring outfits.
The denim polo can be used as a cover up or a single ensemble. You can never go wrong with this.
The most famous denim pants. Need i say more? 🙂
3. BODYCONS AND DRESSES
I have a petite body frame. I love bodycons because they give me extra height and figure, plus they are very easy and comfortable to wear. Perfect for the humid weather of the Philippines. You can just add cover ups, jackets and cardigans when it gets cold.
Bodycons do not have layers, so they are perfect for petite frames.
Black and white accents can make you look young and classy 🙂
4. BASIC TANKS
Invest in high quality tanks for a lot of mix and matchings. I would highly suggest Forever 21’s basic spaghetti straps and bkk’s sleeveless tanks. Do not go for the ribbed ones because they easily loosen and the color fades fast. Always choose the spandex cotton types. These basic tanks can go along with any bottoms and accessories.
5. JUMPSUITS
Jumpsuits save a lot of time when dressing up. It is one piece so you can go along feeling comfortable. It is casual yet sophisticated. Just make sure the waist garter is not too tight.
6. HEADTURNER NECK PIECES
I am a sucker for unique and big statement necklaces. I would sacrifice a dress for a neck piece. These pretty ones can make a difference in your whole outfit. They will give you an instant chick sophistication and trust me, more attention. Even a plain and simple outfit with statement necklaces can look fab.
7. RELIABLE SMALL BAGS
I love small bags because they don’t make me smaller. But they gotta have enough space for my essential stuff.
8. COMFY FLATS
I know you would probably agree that wearing flats is one of the best things to do while going out. These shoes will take you to places without hurting your feet. One advice i would give in choosing the perfect pair of flats is to buy a pair half inch bigger, especially with cotton flats. Because cotton can shrink when washed. Also to decrease the chance of destroying it. You also don’t want to look like you borrowed your little sister’s shoes. Haha!
The tiny ribbon detail makes it more pretty 🙂
Favorite because my husband gave this to me 🙂
Common print but super chic 🙂
9. GOLD BLINGS
Compared to silver ones, gold blings looks more classy (kinda biased for me because it’s my favorite color) just make sure not to over accessorize with gold because you would look like you just came home from Saudi. Haha. A little amount of golds will do the trick.
10. MY WEDDING RING
No piece of accessory can compare to the beauty this ring can give me everyday. It is a reminder that someone in this world loves me that much to make me his wife. Nothing is prettier than true love.
It doesn’t matter if your closet is full of expensive or cheap pieces. What matters is how you carry them. I am not a fashionista myself, i just know what looks good on me and what not. Confidence is the key. And respecting each and everyone’s sense of style. Because everybody is beautiful 🙂
